[1] Help! Sam 【2010/07/07 06:01:40】[返信][編集][削除] [PC] Hello :) I am from the United States and I was wondering if anyone knows the best way to get Rolly's/Scanch's music? I gave in and bought the GOLDEN BEST ROLLY CD off of Amazon Japan. But the shipping rate is outrageous and the one CD cost me USD $45. I was willing to do it once to have something of Rolly's but I can't pay that much any more.
Is there anywhere I can download mp3s online? Or get cheaper CDs delivered to the US?
There is not much on iTunes Japan which I can't download anyway. Youtube is bad quality and I want the best quality. I've tried torrents but couldn't find any (unless there is a Japanese torrent site?) eBay has very little but I can always keep checking back I suppose.
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you :) | | | [2] Re:Help! Tamara 【2010/07/13 04:43:45】[編集][削除] [PC] Hi Sam,
Sorry about the late reply. I was on vacation for a while in July.
I purchased GoldenBest via CD Japan ->
http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/
They seem to have OK shipping costs (compared to $45) and are pretty quick in delivery. They also have a good selection of Rolly's CDs - at least the ones still in print. (Watch carefully searching for Rolly here, a lot of these CDs he is only a guest guitarist - refer to his homepage which have the official CD listings.)
For out of print CDs or DVDs, the only place I have found them is on http://www.yahoo.co.jp/ . However, the entire site is in Japanese - you can get free translators for this online - and most sellers won't ship internationally. :(
As for downloading the music, I was only able to find Scanch Sweets on download via Limewire - 3 years ago! It's hit and miss with those. There was a Japanese torrent program once, but they really crack down on that in Japan and the program no longer works.
Other options, which are usually not feasible, are finding a source in Japan - a fan in that country who can look for CDs in used shops, or bid on Yahoo.japan.
I hope this helps! | | | [3] Re:Help! Sam 【2010/07/14 12:43:56】[編集][削除] [PC] No problem, Tamara!
Thank you for the advice! I will try CD Japan and Yahoo Japan. Luckily, I have been able to find a reasonably priced Scanch Sweets on eBay and SOS '99 on Amazon Japan. I will just have to keep looking and checking back at the websites you shared as well as Amazon and eBay. Who knows, maybe I'll find someone in Japan who can help me out. Thank you for your help! :) |
